Well, I’m pleased to say that recent gigs at Stockport Plaza (sold out…!) and Llangollen International Eisteddfod (where our version of Good Morning Heartbreak had at least one audience member in tears (in a good way….)) went well.
I’m now preparing for two engagements in the next few weeks. On Thursday 20th July I’ll be doing a lunchtime concert with longstanding piano colleague Eileen Guppy at 1pm at Garstang Arts Centre.
And then on August 8th I’ll be the guest of swinging string jazz outfit Hotcha when they perform for Kendal Jazz Club at Staveley in the Lake District. Further details and links on the gigs page.
And then, after nearly a quarter of a century of singing for my supper, I’ll be taking a complete break from it to do other things.
I’m not sure when or if I’ll be back at the microphone. So if you’re able to come to one or other of these gigs, it would be lovely to see you. And if you can’t, then thank you for reading this, and for supporting live music.
I’ve had a lot of fun over the years, and felt very fortunate to work with amazing musicians, meet lots of lovely audience members and see how much of a difference songs and stories can make to people’s lives. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me in so many ways.
